Approval & lifecycle
Sign-off, snapshots, the pending state, and unlocking the build.
Approving the PRD unlocks the rest of the build and snapshots the spec. Hit Approve and Design, Code, and Token Launcher open at once; the snapshot lets you keep editing afterward and roll back if needed.
The state machine
Pending resolves byCancel, reverts to the snapshotRe-approve, takes a new snapshot
- Awaiting intake: the Architect is still asking questions.
- Streaming: the AI is drafting the spec.
- Ready: drafted; you're editing and refining.
- Approved: signed off; a snapshot is taken and downstream chapters unlock.
- Pending: you edited something after approving; the change is waiting to be confirmed or discarded.
The Approve button

Snapshots
When you approve, Modus saves a snapshot of the spec and clears the per-section edit flags. If you later edit and hit Cancel, it restores from that snapshot.
What approval unlocks
Once approved, the Token Launcher opens and the snapshot becomes the reference spec Design and Code build from. (Docs and Deck wait until you've started building in Code.) You can Unapprove at any time to go back to the Ready state.
