Terms of Service

These are plain-language terms for using Modus.

Your account

• You're responsible for what's in your projects and what they do once deployed on-chain.
• One person per account. Don't share credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Modus.

What we provide

• An AI workspace for building, testing, and deploying onchain apps.
• Access to model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Moonshot, Z.ai, and others) under our license, so you don't need your own API keys.
• Hosting for the Modus app itself. You are responsible for hosting whatever you deploy from Modus.

What you own

• Your projects, prompts, and any code Modus generates on your behalf are yours. We claim no rights to your output.
• You can export at any time (zip download or GitHub push).

What you can't do

• Use Modus to build apps that violate sanctions, run gambling in restricted jurisdictions, or commit fraud.
• Build apps that target minors with collection of personal data.
• Use Modus to attack or interfere with on-chain infrastructure (front-running bots, MEV exploitation outside permitted markets, etc.).
• Resell Modus access: single-account licenses only. For agency / multi-seat use, contact us.
• Reverse-engineer the underlying models or use Modus to train competing AI systems.

On-chain risk

On-chain deployments are irreversible. Modus audits contracts before deploy but does not warrant their security or fitness for any specific purpose. Audit before you ship anything that holds significant value. We're not liable for losses from contracts you deploy through Modus.

Service availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime but don't guarantee it. Planned maintenance is announced in Telegram. For incidents, see status updates on X.

Suspension

We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or appear to be abusing the platform. We'll email you the reason and give 14 days to appeal unless the violation is severe (illegal activity, security threat).

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes ship with 30 days' notice via email + a banner in the app. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.
