The interview
Persona detection, the launch-style presets, and customization.
A short interview takes you from "I want a token" to a complete, approved spec. Presets handle the parameters (supply, taxes, limits, anti-bot) so you choose a launch style rather than configuring each field by hand.
The steps
- Persona: are you new to tokens, experienced and want it quick, or a serial launcher? This sets how verbose the rest of the flow is.
- Preset: pick a launch style (below). The preset pre-fills the whole spec.
- Customize: a recap plus a single form for name, symbol, supply, taxes, and chain.
- Allocations (EVM presets): take the preset's standard supply split, or set the buckets yourself — team allocations on utility tokens vest (6-month cliff, 24 months).
- Detail: field-by-field questions (custom preset only).
- Approve: a final summary, then you approve generation. Approval locks the spec.

The two Solana presets surface when your project or your messages point at Solana; see Launching on Solana for how those paths differ. A launch stays on one chain from start to finish: ship it, then start another if you want the token elsewhere.
Skip to defaults
Say "just pick defaults" or "ship it" and Modus fills the remaining fields from the active preset and jumps to the final approval. (You need to have picked a preset first.)
Resuming
If you come back to a saved interview, Modus skips everything you've already answered — persona and preset included; only missing fields come back. Once generation is approved it goes straight to the build.
