Launching on Robinhood Chain (Pons)
A bonding-curve launchpad on Robinhood Chain: no contract, one signature, quote assets, and trading through graduation to Uniswap V4.
Pons is the memecoin launchpad on Robinhood Chain (Robinhood's Arbitrum Orbit L2, chain id 4663). Modus integrates Pons V2, and a Pons launch is the EVM cousin of a pump.fun launch: there's no contract to write, compile, or audit, because the Pons factory mints the token and puts it on a bonding curve in a single transaction that you sign in your wallet. Pick the Robinhood Pons memecoin preset in the interview, or ask for Pons by name.
What you get
| Pons launchpad | Classic ERC-20 on Robinhood Chain | |
|---|---|---|
| Contract | None, the factory mints it | Generated, audited, deployed by you |
| Supply | Fixed at 1,000,000,000 | Your choice |
| Tradable | Immediately, on the curve, then on Uniswap V4 after graduation | When you create a pool (no DEX integration on Robinhood Chain yet) |
| Quote asset | ETH, or an approved tokenised equity / index fund / stablecoin | ETH |
| Owner levers | Creator tax only (0–10%, set at launch) | Taxes, limits, blacklist, trading toggle |
| Network | Mainnet only, real ETH | Robinhood Testnet first, then mainnet |
The flow
- Image: a Pons launch needs a token image. Attach one or have Modus generate it in the chat.
- Recap and confirm: name, symbol, description, socials, quote asset (ETH unless you ask for one of the approved tokenised equities), creator tax (default 0%), optional dev buy, and the launch fee (0.0005 ETH at the time of writing, read live from the factory).
- Launch: one wallet signature. Modus reads the live launch terms, encodes the call, and opens the wallet card; if it doesn't know your address yet, a connect card comes first. With a dev buy the launch and the buy are one atomic transaction (an ERC-20 quote adds an approve first).
- Verify: the chat shows a status card with price, fully diluted value, progress toward graduation, and the current snipe tax.
- Trade and claim: buy and sell from the same chat, on the curve and, after graduation, on the Uniswap V4 pool, and claim your creator fees once they accrue. An optional buyback flag routes part of the creator fees into buying your own token into a vesting vault.
The curve, fees, and graduation
Every Pons token starts on a constant-product bonding curve with a phantom reserve in its quote asset, so the opening price is non-zero and buys push the price up. The quote asset is ETH by default; Pons also approves a set of ERC-20 pair tokens (tokenised equities and index funds such as SPY, and a stablecoin), and you can ask for a token priced in one of those. Price, market cap, and graduation progress are then shown in that asset, and a dev buy needs your wallet to hold it. Each trade pays a 1% curve fee, plus your creator tax if you set one. Buys in the first few seconds after launch pay a snipe tax that starts at 99% and decays to zero, which is what makes the launch fair for everyone but the deployer; your own dev buy is exempt, so it's the way to take an opening position.
Once the curve has raised its graduation threshold (4.2 ETH for an ETH-quoted token; other quote assets have their own), the token graduates: its liquidity moves to a Uniswap V4 pool with the Pons hook and the curve closes. From then on the token trades on the pool.
What Modus does and doesn't do
Modus launches the token, reads its status, trades it, and claims creator fees, all from the Token Launcher (or the Code chat) with your wallet signing every transaction. Your wallet connects in the chat: when the assistant needs your address it shows a connect card, so you never paste an address or a key. It records the launch on your project so the hub shows the token as shipped and the assistant never launches it twice.
After graduation, trading follows the token to the Uniswap V4 pool: buys with ETH are a single signature, and the first sell (or the first buy with an ERC-20 quote asset) adds up to two one-time Permit2 approvals before the swap. Quote assets are supported end to end, with ETH as the default and the approved tokenised equities as an option. Tokens from the earlier Pons V1 factory show up as legacy in the status card and are read-only.
