How many Pons tokens graduate? About 1 in 70

We read 6,355 Pons V2 launches from Robinhood Chain: 89 graduated, 1.4%. How we counted, how launches halved in two weeks, what creators set as tax, and how to check any token yourself.

About 1 in 70. Of 6,355 tokens launched on Pons V2 in twelve sample hours between 17 and 28 September 2026, 89 had graduated by 1 October: 1.4%. The other 98.6% were still on their bonding curve. We read every one of these figures from Robinhood Chain ourselves; the method is below, so anyone can repeat it.

Pons is a memecoin launchpad on Robinhood Chain, Robinhood's Arbitrum layer 2 on Ethereum (chain id 4663), and a busy one. A launch costs about $1.60, so starting a token is cheap; graduating one is the hard part.

What graduation means on Pons

Every Pons V2 token starts on a bonding curve: buyers send ETH to the curve and get tokens at a price that rises as the curve fills. When the curve has raised 4.2 ETH, the token graduates. Its liquidity moves into a Uniswap V4 pool, and the Pons launch locker holds that position for good, so nobody can pull it. Until then there is no pool at all, only the curve.

So graduation is the one milestone every Pons token is built to reach, and the one the chain records without anyone's opinion: the Pons factory keeps a phase for each token, curve or graduated.

How we counted

  • The launches. The Pons V2 factory (0x7eD598BcEf8bd9Edd8C97A195C6d13f40801EC7e) emits an event for every token it launches. We read those events for one hour on each of twelve days, from 17 to 28 September 2026: 6,355 launches.
  • The outcome. On 1 October we asked the factory for each token's record (getLaunchedToken) and counted the ones whose phase had moved past the curve: 89.
  • The age. Every token in the sample was at least three days old when we checked, so the count is not skewed by tokens launched minutes earlier.

The rate barely moved with age. Hour by hour it ran between 0.6% and 2.2%, and the tokens launched fourteen days earlier had not graduated more often than those launched three days earlier. When a Pons token graduates, it does so early; a token still on its curve after a few days is unlikely to finish.

Launches halved in two weeks

Pons is still launching thousands of tokens a day, but fewer than in mid-September. In the sample hours from 17 to 20 September it averaged about 716 launches an hour, around 17,000 a day. From 25 to 28 September it averaged about 303 an hour, around 7,300 a day. On 30 September, one-minute samples taken every hour put it near six launches a minute.

The graduation rate did not rise as launches fell: fewer tokens, the same small share reaching 4.2 ETH.

What creators set

A Pons creator can add a tax of up to 10% on trades, paid to the creator. In the sample:

  • No creator tax: 32.5% of launches.
  • More than 5%: 3.6%.
  • The maximum, 10%: 2.5%.

The tax is public: the Robinhood Chain rug checker shows it for any token, next to its graduation progress, whether its liquidity is locked, and who owns the contract.

Who launches them

Most launches come from different wallets: across the sample, there were about 83 distinct deployer wallets for every 100 launches. A few wallets launch far more. One launched 50 tokens in a single hour, and in most hours the busiest wallet launched more than ten.

What this means

If you launch on Pons, plan for the curve, not the pool: most tokens never raise 4.2 ETH, and a launch's low cost says nothing about whether it will. If you buy on Pons, a token's graduation progress is the first thing to look at, and the rug checker reads it from the chain in a few seconds.

None of this is advice, and graduation is not a verdict on a token. It is a milestone the chain records, and one most Pons tokens do not reach.

Check it yourself

The factory address and the function are above, and both answer anyone. The Pons fees and launch calculator shows how far a dev buy takes a token toward graduation, and what a Pons launch costs breaks down the launch fee and gas.
